Aqueous Film Forming Foam Concentrates (
Chemical base: Are based on combination of hydrocarbon surfactants and fluorosurfactants and properly selected solvents. Foam received from the solution of AFFF agent spreads very rapidly across the burning surface, while the solution flowing out from the foam has ability to form blanket (aqueous film) on the surface of flammable liquid, and therefore, isolating and cooling it perfectly.
Fluorosynthetic agents need low energy input to produce high quality foam which has the wide range of use. They are mainly to produce low and medium expansion foam to extinguishing class B fires. These agents are used in refineries, chemical and production plants, loading bases, airports and are included in the equipment of fire brigades.
